Editing the key people section

Overview

If you want to customize the top-left section of the call sheet and remove default placeholders, here’s how to make the best use of this area in your call sheet layout.

Current Capabilities

The default fields like "Set Medic," "Script Version," and "Schedule Version" are part of the "Key People - Placeholder" section, which is not currently editable to display other types of fields.

However, if you don't need these default fields:

  • Leave them blank, and they won’t appear on the final PDF version of your call sheet.

  • This approach helps declutter the space by hiding unused fields on the printed or downloadable call sheet.

Workaround for Better Space Utilization

If you would like to use the blank area in the top-left section for additional notes or important details:

  1. Move the main "Notes" field to this area. This allows you to highlight specific information without leaving any default fields visible if left blank.

To move the note file into the left section of the header, go to the "Notes" tab of the call sheet editor. Then edit the "Placement" dropdown under the Main Notes section and select: "Left" from the dropdown.

Placeholder Text Visibility

Note that placeholder text (e.g., “Key People - Placeholder”) will show in the Live Preview but:

  • When you download the PDF or view your call sheet in a new tab, the placeholder text disappears.

  • The notes field will expand to occupy this space, making it look seamless.
